Launched in 2007 with a base value of 1000, it has surpassed 4,000. Managed by NSE Indices Limited, it is reconstituted semi-annually, capping stocks at 20%. The NIFTY Infrastructure Total Returns Index serves as a benchmark for ETFs and investment products.

Must be in the infrastructure sector and tradeable in NSE’s F&O segment.
Trading frequency of 90% in six months and a minimum six-month listing history (three months for IPOs).
A 20% cap per stock during rebalancing.
New securities must have a free-float market cap at least 1.5x the smallest constituent.
Rebalanced semi-annually, the index is updated in March and September. The value is computed using:
Index Value = Current Index Market Cap / (Base Free-Float Market Cap * Base Index Value).
