About TNEB, now TNPDCL

TNEB (Tamil Nadu Electricity Board) is the name most consumers still use for the body that supplies and bills electricity across Tamil Nadu. Its distribution operations are now run by Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL), renamed from TANGEDCO on 27 June 2024.

TNPDCL serves about 3.37 crore consumers across cities including Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Salem, and Vellore. The names "TNEB" and "TANGEDCO" are still widely used for bill payment, even after the rename.

Whether you want to check your bill, confirm the amount due, or pay it, you can do all three in one place on Bajaj Pay, the Bharat Connect payments platform on Bajaj Finserv. Paying on time keeps your power supply uninterrupted and helps you avoid late-payment charges.
