In most cases, the loan amount for a loan against mutual funds can increase if the value of the mutual fund increases. This is because the loan amount is typically calculated as a percentage of the value of the mutual fund.

When you take out a loan against a mutual fund, you pledge your mutual fund units as collateral. The loan amount is calculated based on the value of the mutual fund and the applicable loan-to-value (LTV) ratio.

For example, if you have a mutual fund worth Rs. 10,000 and the lender has an LTV ratio of 80%, you could potentially borrow up to Rs. 8,000 (80% of Rs. 10,000) against the mutual fund. If the value of the mutual fund increases to Rs. 12,000, the maximum loan amount would increase to Rs. 9,600 (80% of Rs. 12,000).
