You build a Dubai trip budget by pricing visas, flights and hotel first, then adding food, transport and attractions. Take quotes for your own dates, since fares change with the season.
Worked example: Rahul in Kochi
Rahul is 42 and works as a salaried port logistics manager in Kochi. He earns Rs. 1,05,000 per month and has a CIBIL score of 780. He plans a six-day Dubai trip with his wife and two children and builds the following budget from his own quotes.
| Item | Rahul's budget (Rs.) |
|---|
| Return flights for 4 | 1,40,000 |
| Visas for 4 (30-day) | 27,456 |
| Hotel, 5 nights | 60,000 |
| Food | 35,000 |
| Local transport | 15,000 |
| Attractions | 40,000 |
| Travel insurance and buffer | 22,544 |
| Total | 3,40,000 |

The total is Rahul's illustration, not a standard price for every family travelling from India. He plans to use Rs. 1.4 lakh from savings and borrow the remaining Rs. 2 lakh at an illustrative interest rate of 14.5% per annum.
EMI formula: EMI = P × R × (1 + R)^N ÷ [(1 + R)^N − 1]
P is the loan amount in rupees, R is the monthly interest rate expressed as a decimal, and N is the repayment tenure in months. For an annual interest rate of 14.5%, R is 14.5 ÷ 12 ÷ 100. The formula calculates equal monthly payments covering principal and interest. The interest component is higher in the earlier instalments and declines as the outstanding principal reduces. All figures below use the supplied illustration and are rounded to the nearest rupee.
| Tenure | Monthly EMI (Rs.) | Total interest (Rs.) | EMI as share of salary (%) |
|---|
| 24 months (2 years) | 9,650 | 31,597 | 9.2 |
| 36 months (3 years) | 6,884 | 47,831 | 6.6 |

The 36-month option reduces the monthly EMI by Rs. 2,766 but adds Rs. 16,234 in total interest. The processing fee on a Rs. 2 lakh loan is up to Rs. 8,260, inclusive of applicable taxes.
Rahul selects the 24-month option in this illustration to clear the loan sooner and pay less total interest. The higher EMI still needs to fit alongside his household expenses and existing financial commitments.
What can delay approval? A CIBIL score below 650 or existing EMIs that take up a large share of your income can affect the lender's assessment. Inconsistent names or addresses across documents can delay verification. Multiple loan applications within a short period can also affect the assessment process.
