Car Insurance Add Ons

Add on Covers

Car insurance can be customised anytime. It offers a plethora of optional covers with an additional premium.
The add-on covers you can include in your car insurance:

  • 1. Zero depreciation

Helps you receive the full cost of the replaced car parts without deducting any depreciation. Usually, the depreciated value of the car parts is deducted before settling the claim. With a zero depreciation cover, you can claim the full cost of the damaged car parts.

  • 2. Engine Protect

This add-on covers the cost of any engine-breakdowns and repairs, even if they are not related to an accident. Consider it as a guarantee for your car’s engine. The add-on is available for cars that are up to three years old.

  • 3. Return to invoice

The ‘Return to invoice’ add-on will ensure that in case of total loss to your car due to an accident or theft, you will get the market value of the car plus the registration charges and road tax paid.

  • 4. NCB Protect

A car insurance policyholder earns a No-claim Bonus if they don’t make any claims throughout the year. With NCB protect add-on, you can retain the NCB bonus if there is a claim made in the subsequent year. The NCB can get accumulated and go up to maximum 50%.

  • 5. Roadside Assistance

Under this add-on, you get roadside assistance like towing, change of flat tyre, refueling, or emergency repairs in case of a car breakdown.

  • 6. Accident coverage for car passengers

This add-on is like a personal accident cover for the passengers traveling in the car. In case of an accident, this add-on provides a lump sum compensation for injuries, disabilities or even death.

  • 7. Substitute car

If your car is stolen or damaged due to an accident, this add-on compensates the cost of hiring a substitute car for up to 15 days. The premium for this add-on and claim amount may vary due to the model of the substitute car.

  • 8. Key Replacement Compensation

This add-on claims the cost of fitting or purchasing new locks or replacement of keys, in case you misplace the keys or it gets stolen. A police complaint will be required to claim the amount in case of stolen keys.

  • 9. Consumables Cover

The value of consumables like nuts bolts, coolant, engine oil, brake oil; bearings, etc. are not covered under car insurance. But, if you take ‘consumables cover add-on’, you will get the compensation for the money spent on replacement of such consumables.
