After setting up App Lock, you may want to adjust how it works, disable it for certain apps, or recover access if you forget your password. vivo provides several options to help you manage App Lock settings while keeping your private apps secure.
Adjust the app lock time
On Funtouch OS 4.5 and higher, you can decide how long an app stays unlocked after you close it. Go to Settings > Fingerprint, face and password > Privacy and app encryption > App lock time, then choose your preference, such as locking apps every time or only after the screen turns off.
Turn off app lock
To remove App Lock completely, open Settings > Fingerprint, face and password > Privacy and app encryption and choose the option to disable the privacy password. You can also turn off App Lock for individual apps if you only want to unlock a few of them.
Reset a forgotten app lock password
Forgot your privacy password? On Funtouch OS 3.0 and above, go to Settings > Fingerprint, face and password > Privacy and app encryption and tap Forget password. Answer your security questions correctly to verify your identity and create a new password. This is why setting security questions during setup is so important.
