PMAY Gramin List 2022-23

PM Awas Yojana was launched by the central government to make affordable housing accessible to everyone, both in the urban and rural areas under PMAY-U and PMAY-G respectively. Originally started in 1985 as 'Indira Awas Yojana', this scheme was revamped and relaunched as PMAY under the present government in 2016 to achieve its vision of 'Housing for All'.

The aim of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) is to construct pucca houses with the basic amenities of water, electricity and sanitation to all eligible rural houses.     The government plans to meet its goal of building 2.9 crore pucca housing units by 31 March 2024 in two phases. The first phase has been completed, while the second phase is currently underway.

The PMAY-G beneficiary list is a complete list of the categories based on income that are eligible for PMAY Gramin. These categories are:
  • Families of Economic Weaker Sections (EWS) with income up to Rs. 3 lakh
  • Scheduled castes and scheduled tribes
  • Low Income Group (LIG) families with earnings between Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh

Step 3: A drop-down menu appears. Click on 'IAY/ PMAY-G Beneficiary'

A) With registration number

If you wish to check the beneficiary list with your registration number, type the registration number in the blank field and click 'Submit'. If your name appears in the PMAY Gramin list, you can then verify the related details.

B) Without registration number

If you wish to check the beneficiary list without a registration number, follow these steps:

  • Click on 'Advanced Search' option at the bottom right-hand side of the page
  • Fill in the specified details - State, district, block, panchayat, etc
  • Furnish any of these details - Name, BPL number along with account number, sanction order, father/ husband name to proceed

The government has granted extension of the PMAY-G or PMAY-R scheme for another two years till March 31, 2024. Financial assistance has been granted for the completion of the remaining 1.3 crore houses to achieve the official target of 2.95 crore pucca units. 1.65 crore PMAY-G houses have been constructed as of November 2021.
