The Madgaon Electricity Board is a subdivision of the Goa Electricity Department. This is the sole licensee for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in Goa. The Goa Electricity Department has reduced the delayed payment charges from 2% to 1.5%.

These are computed daily on the outstanding bill from the due date until the payment date.
