Home Loan Co-applicants

A co-applicant is not necessary for taking a home loan in India but still the money lending companies stress on it to ensure guarantee on the repayment of loan if there are more than one owner. Also having a co-applicant increases one’s home loan eligibility. The home loan interest rates are shared between the two when there is a co-applicant for a joint home loan. It is however not a legal requirement to have a co-applicant.
