JKPDD bill payment cycle
JKPDD electricity bills follow a monthly billing cycle, meaning consumers receive a new bill every month based on their electricity usage. Once the bill is generated, the standard payment due date is typically around 21 days from the issue date. It is important to check the exact due date mentioned on your bill to avoid any confusion.
If the payment is not made within this period, a late payment surcharge is applied as per the Jammu and Kashmir Electricity Regulatory Commission (JKERC) tariff guidelines. This surcharge usually ranges between 1.25% to 2% per month on the outstanding amount, increasing the total payable bill over time.
To avoid penalties and ensure uninterrupted service, consumers are encouraged to complete their JKPDD bill payment before the due date. Platforms like Bajaj Pay BBPS and JKPDD bill sahuliyat services offer convenient and secure ways to pay your bill online without delays.
How to calculate JKPDD bill payment based on used units
To calculate the total energy charges for a billing cycle, you need to multiply the total units consumed by the corresponding tariff rate per unit. Add the fixed charges to calculate the total bill charges for the month.
