Telangana Ration Card 2026: How to Apply, Eligibility & Required Documents

A Telangana ration card is an official document issued by the Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Telangana to eligible households in the state. Beyond food security, the ration card serves multiple purposes in Telangana:

Aadhaar e-KYC is mandatory — cardholders who did not complete e-KYC before 30 June 2026 may have benefits temporarily suspended. An e-Ration Card can be downloaded from EPDS and stored on DigiLocker.

5. Visit your nearest MeeSeva centre or Praja Palana centre with the completed form and documents
6. Submit the application with the ₹30 service fee and collect the acknowledgement slip
7. Track your application status online using the acknowledgement number on the EPDS Telangana portal

Adding a family member (newborn, newly married spouse, or migrated member):

3. Fill in the new member's details and Aadhaar number
4. Attach supporting documents — birth certificate for newborns, marriage certificate for spouse
5. Submit the form online or at the supply office and collect the acknowledgement

Removing a family member (due to death, marriage, or migration):

1. Visit the portal or supply office and obtain the member removal form
2. Fill in the details and reason for removal
3. Attach supporting documents — death certificate, marriage certificate, or migration proof

Telangana NFSA ration card holders can collect food grains from any PDS shop across India under the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) scheme using the Mera Ration app.

The ONORC scheme allows migrant workers, students, and families who travel across states to access their entitled food grains at any PDS shop in the country. The Mera Ration mobile app helps ONORC beneficiaries locate nearby Fair Price Shops and check their entitlement while away from Telangana.

Aadhaar not linked to ration card: Visit your nearest Fair Price Shop or supply office to complete Aadhaar seeding. All family members must have Aadhaar linked for uninterrupted ration access.

Name mismatch between Aadhaar and ration card: Correct the name in Aadhaar first at the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra, then update the ration card at the supply office or online portal.

Application rejected: Check the rejection reason on the portal using your application number. Common reasons include income above the eligible limit, duplicate application, or missing documents. Correct and reapply.

e-KYC pending: Telangana made Aadhaar e-KYC mandatory for all FSC holders by June 2026. If your card shows benefits suspended, visit your nearest Fair Price Shop or MeeSeva centre to complete e-KYC with your Aadhaar biometric.

Ration not received at Fair Price Shop: Contact the 1800-4250-0333 helpline. File a grievance through the state PDS grievance portal if the issue is not resolved.

Card not found in beneficiary list: Verify with your nearest supply office. If recently approved, the list may take a few days to update online.
