Under the NTR Housing Scheme, the Andhra Pradesh state government aims to develop about 10 Lakh houses for the rural poor. This AP Housing Scheme will have a total expenditure of Rs. 16,000 Crore. The Andhra Pradesh government will initiate the construction of second and third phase of the scheme in January and June 2018, respectively.
The list of the current AP NTR Housing Scheme beneficiaries is already available on the site of the state government of Andhra Pradesh. The NTR Housing Scheme has already handed over houses to about one lakh beneficiaries on Gandhi Jayanti.
According to the latest update, the NTR Housing Scheme of the Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned 1.2 lakh more houses to urban local bodies. This is also under the NTR Housing Scheme 2017-18, and with a total cost of Rs. 1544.66 crore.
Under the AP Housing Scheme, the houses inaugurated on 2nd October have been built in 9,835 villages in 884 wards. The AP government is celebrating the day as NTR Housing Nuthana Gruha Pravesa Mahostvam.
