About NDMC
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is the municipal body responsible for the governance and development of central New Delhi. Its jurisdiction covers approximately 42.7 square kilometres comprising Lutyens' Delhi, including Connaught Place, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, and the surrounding central government zone. NDMC operates as an independent municipal distribution licensee with its own tariff structure approved by the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), running separately from BSES and Tata Power.
NDMC provides the following services to consumers within its jurisdiction:
- Electricity supply and distribution across central New Delhi
- Online bill payment through the NDMC consumer portal and partner platforms
- Consumer grievance redressal and billing support
- Maintenance of electrical infrastructure, metering, and street lighting
- New connection and load amendment services
For NDMC electricity bill payments, Bajaj Pay, the Bharat Connect payments platform on Bajaj Finserv, shows your exact bill amount before you confirm, through UPI, cards, or net banking.
Zones of NDMC Electricity
NDMC operates as a single distribution licensee within its defined central Delhi boundary. Its electricity division is structured into operational zones for administrative management of billing, building maintenance, and street lighting. All zones fall within NDMC's 42.7 square kilometre jurisdiction. Areas outside this boundary, including Karol Bagh, Civil Lines, and Patel Nagar, are served by separate municipal bodies and discoms.
