Frequently Asked Questions on Bajaj Pay Wallet
You can create a Bajaj Pay Wallet account by clicking on the Wallet or the Add Icon in the Bajaj Pay Section. Proceed to the Rewards >Cashback Earned section followed by the Setup Wallet section. Fill out the Self-Declaration section by entering your name, date of birth, and ID proof, and complete the KYC.
You can start by either clicking on the Add icon on the home page or the Add option in the wallet home page. Select Add Money and enter the amount. Proceed and select your preferred payment method and enter the details. Tap on Pay Now to add the money successfully to your wallet.
Below is the list of services you can pay for using the Bajaj Pay Wallet:
You can pay for mobile recharge, DTH recharge, bill payment, insurance, gas connection, FASTag recharge, subscription, loan payment, house/municipal tax etc. using the Bajaj Pay Wallet.
You cannot change the phone number registered with Bajaj Pay Wallet. If you wish to change your number, you need to log out of the app and re-login with the new number. If it's a new number never registered with Bajaj Pay Wallet, then you may need to register with the new number and set up Bajaj Pay Wallet again.

- Pay using Bajaj Pay Wallet with the Bajaj Finserv app

- Bajaj Pay Wallet is available on various merchant platforms. Visit the merchant site and select ‘Bajaj Pay Wallet’ as the payment option.
KYC means Know Your Customer. It refers to process defined by the RBI under which the Bajaj Pay Wallet needs to verify a customer’s identity before providing a full-KYC wallet with enhanced limit. It provides a hassle-free and enhanced wallet experience to the customer.
Yes. The Bajaj Pay e-wallet is a form of mobile payment that allows you to send money or pay for services from anywhere. It comes under the purview of the Bharat Bill Payment System, which is a holistic ecosystem bringing different online payment platforms under its supervision.
You can use the Bajaj Pay e-wallet system after setting it up on the Bajaj Finserv app. Follow these steps to set up your Bajaj Pay e-wallet:
- Download the Bajaj Finserv application and install it on your phone
- Register or log in to your account using your mobile number
- Go to the ‘Wallet’ section
- Enter your credentials, such as your name, date of birth and mobile number
- Your Bajaj Pay e-wallet setup is complete
- Add money to your wallet to start using it
The Bajaj Pay e-wallet system makes paying for different services – and other transactions – smooth and seamless. You can use the e-wallet to reduce the inconvenience caused by offline payments. Thanks to the e-wallet, you can safely recharge your mobile and DTH, pay for your LPG cylinder etc., anytime and anywhere.
You can get Rs. 50 cashback on setting up your Bajaj Pay e-wallet and accessing it through the Bajaj Finserv app. Furthermore, you can look out for other offers and cashback when you use the Bajaj Pay e-wallet from time to time.
You can log in to your Bajaj Pay e-wallet by following these steps:
- Open the Bajaj Finserv app
- Log in to your account using your mobile number
- Head over to the ‘Wallet’ section
- Enter your credentials, such as your name, date of birth and mobile number
- Log in to your e-wallet

Know Your Customer (KYC) is a process undertaken by Bajaj Finance Limited to verify the identity of its customers before providing Bajaj Pay Wallet services in terms of the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India from time to time. As per the RBI guidelines on Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs), wallets are issued and classified as (i) Minimum KYC PPIs & (ii) Full KYC PPIs.

Full KYC wallet users can transfer their Bajaj Pay Wallet balance to registered beneficiary bank accounts by using the “Send to Bank” option under “My Bajaj Pay Wallet” section.

Yes. You need to pay 3% of the amount being transferred as a fee while transferring money from your Bajaj Pay Wallet to any bank account.
To transfer funds to your bank account, you need to upgrade your Bajaj Pay Wallet to Full KYC. Once, you are a Full KYC wallet user, please follow the below steps:
- Click on the “Wallet” icon under the “Bajaj Pay” section
- Click on the “Send to Bank” under “My Bajaj Pay Wallet” section
- Click on “Add account”
- Enter beneficiary bank details and click on “Proceed”
Please Note:

If you have exceeded your transaction limit, you may not be able to add money to your Bajaj Pay Wallet.

No, you do not need to pay any charges for adding money to your Bajaj Pay Wallet.
You can use your Bajaj Pay Wallet to transfer funds to other Bajaj Pay Wallet users, and make bill payments and recharges over the Bajaj Finserv app and website. Your Bajaj Pay Wallet balance can also be used to transfer funds to registered bank accounts and pay third-party merchants.
Please Note:
Both sender and receiver should have a valid Bajaj Pay Wallet with full KYC to transfer or receive money.
In such scenarios, please wait for the transaction status to get updated. If the transaction fails, please do not worry. Your money will be refunded to your Bajaj Pay Wallet on a T+1 basis, where T shall mean the date of the transaction and 1 shall mean the subsequent day.

Wallet interoperability is a technical compatibility that allows you to use Bajaj Pay Wallet for making payments through Unified Payment Interface (UPI) either by using the Wallet Virtual Payment Address (Wallet VPA) or by scanning any UPI QR code.
There are several features of interoperability and benefits of having an interoperable Bajaj Pay Wallet. Such as:
- You will have a separate UPI ID linked to your wallet
- You can scan any UPI QR code to make payments
- You can transfer money from your Bajaj Pay Wallet to any other interoperable Wallet issued by any other Issuer through UPI
- You can transfer money from your Bajaj Pay Wallets to any bank account through UPI
- You can initiate/receive Collect Request (money request) from UPI users
- You get instant notifications related to your payment status
All users having valid and active Full KYC Bajaj Pay Wallet shall be eligible for wallet interoperability, subject to other Terms and Conditions.
To create your wallet UPI ID, please follow these steps:
- Click on “Wallet” under “Bajaj Pay” at the top of the Home Screen.
- Click on “Activate Now” located under the banner Link Bajaj Pay Wallet with UPI
- Select the “SIM card” linked to your Bajaj Pay Wallet and click on “Proceed”
- Your wallet UPI ID will be generated within a few seconds

- Scroll to the “Sent” section
- Click on “Request” at the bottom right of the screen
- Enter the payer UPI ID and click on “Proceed”

To view your QR code and wallet UPI ID details, please go to “Settings” and click on “View my QR”.
To transact by scanning the UPI QR code using your wallet UPI ID, please follow these steps:

To mark the Collect Request as spam, please follow these steps:
- Click on “Wallet” under “Bajaj Pay” at the top of the Home Screen.

- Once on the “Received” section, select the request you want to mark as spam

To deregister your wallet UPI ID, please follow these steps:

- Under “Manage Wallet UPI ID”, select “De-register Wallet UPI ID”

Wallet UPI ID/Wallet VPA shall mean the Virtual Payment Address associated with Bajaj Pay Wallet for enabling PPI interoperability through UPI.
No, the Bajaj Pay Wallet UPI Id is created by default. Currently, there is no option to choose the Bajaj Pay Wallet UPI ID.
The interoperable transaction is required to be authorised using a preferred Two-factor Authorisation (Fingerprint, MPIN, and OTP etc.) method.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or Two-factor Authorisation is a security system that requires two separate, distinct forms of identification in order to make payments through Bajaj Pay Wallet.
You can make payments to merchants in the following manner:
- Scan any UPI QR code available at merchant outlets or on merchant websites, select UPI as the payment option and enter your wallet UPI ID to generate a collect request on your Bajaj Pay Wallet.
- Pay entering Customer Preferred Two-factor Authorisation.
No, you do not need a bank account to create a Wallet UPI ID.
No. Your wallet UPI ID gets created using your mobile number registered with your Wallet, by default.
Interoperability of wallet (UPI ID for Wallet) is provided only to customers having valid and active Full KYC Bajaj Pay Wallet. Please upgrade your Bajaj Pay Wallet to Full-KYC for creating Wallet UPI ID.
If your wallet is downgraded from Full-KYC Wallet to Small wallet (Small PPI) on account of KYC norms, your Wallet UPI ID shall automatically stand deregistered.
There is no additional cost for transacting through your wallet UPI ID.

If money is deducted, the same will be refunded back to the source account. If it is not refunded, then you can raise a request after checking the transaction status by following these steps:

- Select the transaction against which you want to check the status
- If you have made the transaction to a person or a merchant and your transaction status is “Pending”, then click on “Check Status”
- In case you are not satisfied with the provided solution, click on “Raise Complaint”
A. Please note that any service/product delivery issue or refund-related query, after successful payment through your Bajaj Pay Wallet, can only be addressed by the merchant. Hence, kindly reach out to the customer support of the concerned merchant through their apps or websites.

We regret to inform you that currently, this feature is not available with us. Hence, to revoke access to your Bajaj Pay Wallet, please go to the merchant”s app and delink your wallet from the checkout page.
Linking your Bajaj Pay Wallet to a third-party merchant does not give any access to them. All the transactions and payments will be done only after two-factor authentication (M-PIN, OTP etc.) by you.

Your merchant can deduct the money equal to the transaction/order amount only. If the additional amount has been debited, you should contact the merchant to refund the amount. The merchant will check the actual value of your transaction/order and refund the extra amount to your Bajaj Pay Wallet within 3 to 4 business days.
To check all previous payments with the merchant, including amount, date and order details, please click on “Passbook” under “Bajaj Pay” at the top of the Home Screen and scroll to the “Bajaj Pay Wallet” section.

This is a feature that will add a layer of security to all debit transactions from your Bajaj Pay Wallet. This feature is as per RBI”s Master Direction on Prepaid Payment Instruments. Every debit transaction from your Bajaj Pay Wallet can be validated either through Device PIN, Touch ID (Fingerprints), Face ID, App M-PIN or OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Please Note: Two Factor Authentication feature is available on the Bajaj Finserv App versions as mentioned below:
- Android: Versions 8.0.4 and above. Please upgrade to the latest version to enable the functionality
- iOS: This feature is not available on iOS currently.
To set up Two Factor Authentication for your Bajaj Pay Wallet, please follow the below steps:
- Go to the Main Menu (three lines) at the top left of the Home Screen.
- Select “Settings”
- Select “Security Settings”
- Enable biometrics i.e., set your Touch ID/Face ID by turning the toggle button “Active (Green)”
- Or you can also choose to “Set-Up MPIN”
Please Note:
In case you do not set up your Two Factor Authentication, you need to validate your transactions through the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
No debit transaction from Bajaj Pay Wallet can be carried out without Two Factor Authentication.
To carry out transactions, you can use any of the below-given modes of Two Factor Authentication:
- Device PIN
- Touch ID (Fingerprints)
- Face ID
- M-PIN or
- OTP sent to your registered mobile number

In case you do not set up your Two Factor Authentication, you need to validate your transactions through the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
You have 3 attempts to successfully authenticate a debit transaction using Bajaj Pay Wallet. Post 3 wrong attempts, the transaction shall be failed and you may initiate the transaction afresh.
To raise a request for your cashback/vouchers-related queries, please follow these steps:
