  • Comprehensive Coverage

    Get coverage in case of loss or damage to your personal baggage due to fire, riots, theft, strikes, terrorist activity, or any other accident occurring during your journey. The claim is payable in Indian Rupees (INR) only.

  • Umbrella For Claim

    Insured and insured’s family members can claim coverage for accidental loss or destruction or damage to their personal baggage in the event of any accident or mishap during the course of their travel.

  • Scope Of Coverage

    You can avail lost luggage reimbursement within the geographical scope of India and its jurisdiction.

  • Extent Of Coverage

    Baggage Insurance plan extends to the contents of the baggage that are lost or severely damaged due to any serious or dangerous situation.

  • What Is Not Covered?

  • Policy Excess

    Except in case of any personal accident, you have to pay 5% of the claim amount (subject to a minimum of Rs 25,000 for each claim) as Policy Excess.

  • Fragile Materials

    Any loss or damage caused due to cracking, scratching or breakage of lens or glass, whether these are parts of China, marble, gramophone records or otherwise and other articles of a brittle or fragile nature are not covered. This is unless such loss or damage arises from an accident to a vessel, train, or other mechanised vehicle or aircraft by which such baggage is conveyed by the insured and/or the insured’s family.

  • Jewellery And Other Valuables

    Loss of or damage to jewellery or valuables is not covered.

  • Damage During Repair

    Loss or damage caused by or any process of cleaning, dyeing, repairing or restoring to which the baggage is subjected to, is not covered.

  • Wrong Usage Of Electrical Machines

    Loss or damage caused to any electrical machines, apparatus, fixtures or fittings (including wireless sets, radio, television sets, and tape recorders) arising from overrunning, excessive pressure, short-circuiting arcing self-heating, leakage or electricity from any cause (lightning included) is not covered.

  • Wrong Usage Of Watches

    Loss or damage caused by mechanical derangement or over-winding of watches and clocks is not covered.

  • Inadequate Security

    Theft of baggage from cars, except from fully enclosed saloon cars having all the doors, windows and other openings securely locked and properly fastened, and any other security aid properly applied, is not covered.

  • Contract Of Affreightment

    Loss or damage while being conveyed by any carrier under a contract of affreightment is not covered.
