What is e-Aadhaar card

An e-Aadhaar card is the digital version of the Aadhaar card issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India. It contains the same information as the physical Aadhaar card, including your Aadhaar number, demographic details, photograph, and other identification information.

The e-Aadhaar is a password-protected and digitally signed document that can be downloaded online and stored securely on your mobile phone, computer, or other digital devices. It is legally valid and accepted as proof of identity and address for various government, banking, and financial services across India.

Since it is available in digital format, an e-Aadhaar card allows you to access your Aadhaar details anytime without carrying the physical card. It is commonly used for KYC verification, government services, banking transactions, and applications for financial products such as personal loans.
