Beyond its primary function in government initiatives, Aadhaar is increasingly recognised as an essential proof of identity across various sectors. This recognition is due to the extensive information it contains, such as citizens' complete names, permanent addresses, and dates of birth, all intricately tied to a unique 12-digit number assigned by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
