Policy Details

Here are the details covered under CPP Asset Assure Policy:

Transferability Non-transferable

Depreciation 15% per annum (only in case of total damage)
Assets Covered AC/refrigerators/LED/washing machines

Depreciation

No depreciation will be deducted​ when the appliance can be repaired or reinstated at a cost less than the replacement cost.

Depreciation of 15% per annum will be deducted​ in the case of a total loss or constructive total loss.

Cancellation

  • If the member cancels the policy membership within 15 days, then Rs. 200 will be deducted and the balance membership fee will be refunded
  • If the member cancels the membership after 15 days, then there will be no refund of the membership fee

How to purchase the policy

In order to purchase the policy, follow these steps:

  • To apply for the product, click on ‘Apply Now’ and fill in the necessary details
  • Make the fee payment online using your preferred mode of payment
  • Fill in your name and mobile number
  • Complete the process by clicking ‘Buy now’, you can also request a call back

List of Documents to Process Claim

You need the following documents in original from the manufacturer for the claim:

  • Manufacturers’ invoice(s) (summary and itemized invoices) and corresponding payment receipts
  • Replacement or repair summary (in case the asset has undergone replacement)
  • All supporting documents of the product
  • All receipts corresponding to the purchase
  • Self-attested copies of ID proof (PAN Card, Aadhar Card, passport, driving license, voter’s identity card, bank passbook or statement)
  • In case of cashless claims, the ID proof should contain the photograph of the ID cardholder and the product
  • It would be preferable to provide NEFT details & supporting documents (cancelled cheque or bank passbook or statement) at the time of claim registration

How to process the claim

To process the claim, you can either contact the helpline or visit the authorized service centre. Please refer to the claims section of the terms and conditions for more details.
For Cashless Claims

  • Call the helpline number 18602583030 and intimate your claim
  • The insurer will generate a claim number
  • Visit gets scheduled from authorized service partner for inspection of the damaged appliance
  • Submit documents as required by the insurer. Repair time will be determined upon inspection. In case of a total loss of appliance, intimation will be sent to the insurer, and the claim will be settled accordingly

Major Policy Exclusions

  • Loss or damage of part under manufacturer’s guarantee and warranty
  • Loss or damage arising due to incorrect usage of the appliance, not in adherence with the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Replacement of any consumable items of the device, including but not limited to batteries, bulbs, plugs, cables, ribbons, belts, tapes, fuses, software, etc.
  • Failure of parts that are subject to recall by the manufacturer
  • Loss or damage arising out of any external cause, including but not limited to fire, theft, explosion, water damage, acts of God, etc.
  • Where the appliance is subject to commercial, rental, or profit generation purposes
  • Loss or damage arising out of overloading, strain, over-running, short-circuiting, etc.
  • Loss or damage arising out of normal wear and tear
  • Where there is a change of ownership of the appliance
