Here’s what’s covered under this policy:
The plan provides coverage against perils such as fire, explosion/implosion, lightning, flood, earthquake, cyclone, etc. You can also get coverage against damage caused due to riots and strikes.
The plan offers coverage for repair and replacement expenses incurred against unexpected mechanical breakdown of your small gadgets. You can seek the benefits of this cover only if the gadget was in your possession at the time of breakdown.
The plan also provides coverage against repair and replacement costs if your gadget is accidentally damaged. To avail the benefits of this cover, the gadget should have been in your custody at the time of damage.
Please note that the coverage is as per the invoice value of the gadget(s) or up to the maximum sum insured amount.

Here are some of the exclusions under this policy:
If the gadget is older than 30 days (as per the purchase date mentioned on the invoice), it will not be covered. To seek the benefits of this insurance cover, you need to apply for Small Gadgets Insurance within 30 days of purchasing the gadget(s).
The deductible of the first 5% of each claim amount is subject to a minimum of Rs 1,000 for the sum insured up to Rs. 20,000, or Rs. 2,000 for the sum insured above Rs. 20,000 and up to 50,000.
This is applicable unless specifically revised and altered by the insurer and mentioned in the Certificate of Insurance.
If any loss, damage or destruction is caused to your gadgets due to terrorist activities, then it is not covered.
Any loss sustained due to the effects of pollution or contamination will not be covered.
