  • What’s covered

  • Standard fire and special perils cover

    The plan covers your appliances against damages caused by an accidental fire, implosion/explosion or breakdown due to lightning, cyclones, earthquakes or other perils mentioned in the policy document.

  • Accidental damage cover

    The plan offers coverage against repair and replacement costs arising from accidental damage to the appliances.

  • Breakdown cover

    The plan covers repair and replacement expenses for your kitchen appliances in case of a breakdown due to mechanical issues.

  • What’s not covered

  • Damage due to pollution

    The plan does not cover damage, loss, or destruction of your kitchen appliances due to pollution or contamination.

  • Delay in application

    If you apply for insurance more than 30 days after the appliance’s purchase, you will not be eligible. The original invoice’s date will be considered as the appliance’s purchase date.

  • Deductibles applicable

    A standard deductible of the first 5% of each claim amount, subject to a minimum of Rs. 1,000, for an insured sum of up to Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 2,000 an insured sum insured Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 50,000. These slabs apply to all claims unless specifically revised and altered by the insurer and mentioned in the Certificate of Insurance.

  • Damage on account of terrorism

    Loss or destruction of an appliance owing to an act of terrorism will not be covered under this insurance (unless an additional premium is paid to cover such loss).
