How to get a Greater Chennai Corporation property tax receipt?

After you pay your property tax, it is important to obtain a property tax receipt. The receipt will bear all the details of your payment, such as the amount paid, date of payment, and the assessment year. You can get your property tax receipt in the following ways:

Online: You can download the property tax receipt from the official website of the GCC. To do so, you will need to follow the below steps:

  1. 1 Visit the GCC website (https://www.chennaicorporation.gov.in/)
  2. 2 Click on the 'SERVICES' tab and select 'ONLINE SERVICES'
  3. 3 Select 'PROPERTY TAX' from the drop-down menu and enter your property tax number or assessment number
  4. 4 Click on 'SEARCH' to get your property tax details
  5. 5 Click on 'DOWNLOAD RECEIPT' to obtain your property tax receipt

In person: You can also get your property tax receipt by visiting the GCC zonal office in your area. You have to provide them your property tax number or assessment number.
