Waterborne diseases such as typhoid and cholera can be fatal if not treated immediately. Waterborne Diseases Cover by Bajaj Finserv, you can get coverage against diagnostic tests, doctor’s fees, medications, hospitalisation and other costs involved in treating waterborne infections.

 

Plan details

Waterborne Disease Cover offers coverage of up to Rs. 50,000 at a premium of just Rs. 349, which you can conveniently pay online.

  • What’s covered?

  • Hospitalisation expenses

    The plan covers hospitalisation expenses of up to Rs. 50,000 for specified illnesses.

  • Diagnostic tests

    You get coverage against expenses incurred for undertaking diagnostic tests during or before hospitalisation.

  • Doctor’s fee

    The plan covers doctor’s fees incurred during, before and after hospitalisation.

  • Medicines

    Expenses on medication prescribed during, before and after hospitalisation are covered under this plan.

  • Medical expenses

    Medical expenses incurred 15 days before and after hospitalisation will be covered.

  • Treatment charges

    Avail of coverage against treatment charges such as hospital room rent and expenses on ICU, transfusions, doctor fees, medicines and tests.

  • Daily room rent

    Get coverage of up to Rs. 1,000 per day for a standard room and Rs. 2,000 per day for an ICU. All other charges are as per the room rent restriction.

  • What’s not covered?

  • Hospitalisation within 30 days

    If the insured person is hospitalised due to typhoid within 30 days from the policy’s start date, the coverage will not apply.

  • Hospitalisation for any other condition

    Hospital expenses for any condition other than typhoid will not be covered.
