Validity and Renewal Period of PSARA License in Delhi

The time taken to get a PSARA licence can vary from one state to another. Some states may take longer to process the application, while others may be quicker. On average, it usually takes up to 60 days (2 months) from the date of application, as the authorities need time to check and verify the details before giving approval.

In Delhi, the PSARA licence is valid for 5 years from the date it is issued. In most Indian states, the licence is also valid for 5 years. However, in some states like Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh, the licence is valid for only 1 year.

How to apply for a PSARA license

Organise all the necessary documents

Enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a training institute

The eligible training institutes will be displayed on the home page of https://psara.gov.in. The applicant has to enter into an MoU with a training institute so as to be able to provide training to its candidates.

Filing of the application

Verification is done by police

Police verification is the next step in the process. This verification will be done after the filing of Form-I. Where the agency is a partnership or a company, the respective directors will have to go for the police verification as well.

  1. Company registration documents, including the certificate of incorporation, memorandum of association, articles of association, and any other relevant registration papers.
