Important Rules & Guidelines for UP NEET PG Round 3
- The third round of UP NEET PG 2025 counselling is a strict and final round. Seat allotment will be conducted solely based on the Round 3 merit list and the choices locked by candidates within the specified timeline.
- Candidates who were not allotted a seat in previous rounds, or who joined a seat in Round 1 or Round 2, do not need to pay a fresh security deposit to participate in Round 3. However, candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 2 but either did not join or resigned after joining will be required to submit a new security deposit to be eligible for Round 3.
- During choice filling, candidates will see Clear Vacancies, including vacant, not-reported, and resigned seats, along with Seat Against Cancellation (SAC). SAC seats are virtual vacancies created when an already admitted candidate moves to a higher preference.
- Choice locking is mandatory. Candidates who fail to lock their choices will be excluded from the allotment process. Once choices are locked, no changes will be allowed under any circumstances.
- If a candidate is upgraded in Round 3, their previously allotted seat will be automatically vacated and offered to the next eligible candidate as per merit. If no upgrade occurs, the earlier admitted seat will remain unchanged.
- Joining the allotted seat in Round 3 is compulsory for both government and private medical colleges. Failure to report will result in forfeiture of the entire security deposit. For private colleges, additional penalties apply, including partial forfeiture of tuition fees as per rules.
- Candidates allotted seats in government colleges must report directly to the respective medical college, university, or district hospital. Those allotted seats in private colleges must report to the designated nodal centre mentioned in the allotment letter and pay the prescribed tuition fee via CTS Demand Draft in favour of Director General Medical Education & Training, Uttar Pradesh.
- Valid OBC and EWS category certificates must be issued on or after 01 April 2025. All reservation certificates must be issued by the competent authority of Uttar Pradesh in the prescribed state format.
- A medical fitness examination at the allotted college or nodal centre is mandatory. All counselling rounds will strictly follow the UP NEET PG 2025 brochure and the government order dated 06 June 2025.
