NSE Timings 2026 

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) conducts trading in the equities segment on all weekdays, except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays declared by the exchange. For investors and traders, being aware of the exact market timings is essential to plan and execute trades effectively. The trading schedule is divided into the following sessions:

Pre-Open Session

  • 09:00 AM to 09:08 AM*
  • Includes a randomly timed closure in the final minute
  • Followed by an order matching and confirmation phase

Regular Trading Session

  • 09:15 AM to 03:30 PM

Closing Session

  • 03:40 PM to 04:00 PM
  • Used for calculating and confirming the day’s closing price

Block Deal Session

  • Morning Window: 08:45 AM to 09:00 AM
  • Afternoon Window: 02:05 PM to 02:20 PM

Muhurat trading is a one-hour auspicious stock market trading session that is held on Diwali, one of India's most popular festivals. This year, Muhurat Trading will be held on November 08, 2026 (Sunday). Timings for Muhurat Trading will be notified by the exchange subsequently.
