Significance of health insurance schemes and policies in India
Considering the rising health concerns in the country, enrolling in a government scheme, or buying a health insurance policy has become extremely important. It plays a crucial role in safeguarding individuals against the financial burden of medical expenses. Privately purchased health insurance policies offer personalised coverage tailored to individual needs, providing access to quality healthcare and mitigating unexpected costs. On the other hand, enrolling in government schemes like Ayushman Bharat ensures affordable healthcare for marginalised populations, promoting inclusivity, and equitable access to medical services.
Both avenues offer benefits such as coverage for hospitalisation, outpatient care, and critical illnesses, fostering a healthier society by encouraging preventive care and reducing the strain on public healthcare infrastructure.
With portals like beneficiary NHA (beneficiary.nha.gov.in), you can keep track of the status of beneficiary and complete registration for more members under a family, conveniently.
