Riding experience: 5/5. After around 1000 km, the MG Hector Plus is extremely comfortable and effortless. The CVT is smooth in city traffic, on highways, and on hilly roads, making it great for relaxed driving. Looks and performance: 5/5. Versus the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari, Kia Carens, Kia Seltos, and Hyundai Alcazar, the Hector Plus stands out for luxury, comfort, and features. Mileage is average at 8–14 km/l, but acceptable for this class. Servicing and maintenance: 3/5. Service is a concern where I live, with only one centre that is far and often overloaded. MG should strengthen the service network. Pros: very comfortable to drive; enough power for daily and highway use; feature-packed cabin; attractive looks and strong road presence; about ₹4–5 lakh cheaper than rivals. Cons: missing driver seat memory function; no mileage display in the instrument cluster; slightly low fuel efficiency; last row not for adults, the Carens did it best. Final verdict: perfect for comfort, features, and family use. Not for performance enthusiasts, yet it never felt underpowered, even on hilly roads, and overall it is a great value SUV.

My journey began with a showroom experience that felt world class, like I had come to buy a sports car. The first look in white amazed me. Build quality felt top tier, a clear 5 star. In performance and interiors, nothing beats it at this price point, and the cabin truly feels like an Audi. The average of about 10 km is pretty decent. After ages, I finally found everything in one car. Great work MG.
