I owned a Vespa 150 Standard and logged 30k+ km. It certainly looks upmarket and has strong road presence, but that early excitement fades once you face the after-sales side. Servicing and maintenance: Running costs are painfully high. Authorized service centers are scarce and hard to find. Even when you leave it for repairs, problems often come back while you are stuck with a bloated bill. Spare parts availability: This is the most infuriating bit. Basic parts are missing in the local aftermarket, and even official showrooms and service centers rarely stock the simplest items. The scooter can be off the road over small faults. Maintenance tip: Track down a capable independent mechanic who truly understands Vespas. Relying only on the official network will likely burn money without actually fixing the scooter. Fuel economy and mileage: In city traffic I get around 18 to 22 kmpl. On open highways it stretches to about 30 to 32 kmpl, but for daily city commuting the fuel spend mounts quickly.

After taking delivery of the Vespa 150 I started facing many issues. In the first month the rear Stefanie broke. In the third month the handle side began making khatar khatar. After a year there was heavy bubbling in the scooter, handling became the worst, and till now the Okhala, Delhi mechanic has not fixed it.
