The CVT is smooth in city traffic, on highways, and on hilly roads, making it great for relaxed driving. Looks and performance: 5/5. Versus the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari, Kia Carens, Kia Seltos, and Hyundai Alcazar, the Hector Plus stands out for luxury, comfort, and features. Mileage is average at 8–14 km/l, but acceptable for this class. Servicing and maintenance: 3/5. Service is a concern where I live, with only one centre that is far and often overloaded. MG should strengthen the service network. Pros: very comfortable to drive; enough power for daily and highway use; feature-packed cabin; attractive looks and strong road presence; about ₹4–5 lakh cheaper than rivals. Cons: missing driver seat memory function; no mileage display in the instrument cluster; slightly low fuel efficiency; last row not for adults, the Carens did it best. Final verdict: perfect for comfort, features, and family use. Not for performance enthusiasts, yet it never felt underpowered, even on hilly roads, and overall it is a great value SUV.
