Note: Deductible means a cost-sharing requirement under a health insurance policy that provides that the insurer will not be liable for a specified rupee amount in case of indemnity policies and for a specified number of days/hours in case of hospital cash policies which will apply before any benefits are payable by the insurer. What's covered?

  • Money-in-bank

    Under this cover, if the insured person suffers an illness or injury that directly results in the hospitalisation during the policy year, the expenses will be paid towards the following situations, up to the sum insured.

    1. In-patient hospitalisation – For Rs. 20 lakh, the plan covers hospitalisation expenses up to the base sum insured. Rooms under hospitalisation would be limited up to a single private room.
    2. Day care treatment - Day Care procedures will be covered up to the base sum insured under the policy. The cover is a part of the base sum insured.
    3. Pre-hospitalisation - It covers medical expenses up to 60 days before hospitalisation. The cover is a part of the base sum insured.
    4. Post-hospitalisation - It covers medical expenses up to 90 days after hospitalisation. The cover is a part of the base sum insured.
    5. Road ambulance cover (per event) - Covers expenses towards road ambulance charges up to a maximum of Rs. 2,000 per hospitalisation. The cover is a part of the base sum insured.
    6. Domiciliary hospitalisation cover - It covers medical expenses towards domiciliary hospitalisation up to the base sum insured under the policy. The cover is a part of the base sum insured.
    7. Donor expenses cover - It covers in-patient hospitalisation expenses of the donor up to the base sum insured under the policy. The cover is a part of the base sum insured.
