        • Additional losses
    Reasonable additional travel and accommodation expenses incurred that are necessary to obtain a replacement of your lost or stolen passport while abroad

  • What is Not Covered in Personal Trip Effects Coverage Policy?

    Here’s a lowdown on the damages and losses, which are not covered:

  • Third party liabilities

    Damages and/or liabilities to third parties

  • Additional losses or damage

    Damages or losses to anything other than the money you withdrew from your account.

  • Liabilities outside covered robbery period

    Damages and/or liabilities that happened before or after the covered robbery period.

  • Emergency aid for others

    Charges for emergency first aid to anyone other than you.

Trip Effects Coverage: Terms and Conditions

Here’s a look at the terms and conditions for coverage of Trip Effects Coverage by Bajaj Finserv:

1. Coverage duration
For a covered trip, the coverage begins when you leave your place of residence to commence the trip and shall terminate with whichever of the following occurs first:
   a) Time taken to return to your place of residence on completion of your trip; or
   b) Expiry of policy

In any event coverage will not begin for more than 24 hours prior to the booked departure time, and will cease only 24 hours after your actual return time.

With respect to a one-way trip, the coverage will terminate with whichever of the following occurs first:
   a) Time taken by a covered common carrier arrives at its destination; or
   b) Expiry of policy

2. Items left in an unattended motor vehicle
The luggage, money, and personal papers left in an unattended motor vehicle (fitted with an alarm) will be covered, if the items are in the car trunk at the time of theft.

3. Reimbursement for covered item
In no event, will we pay more than the replacement cost of the covered item.

Duties in the Event of a Loss

In the event of a covered loss:

1. Contact us

Please intimate the Call Center as soon as a claim occurs, in order for us to provide you prompt and effective assistance. You may also register the claim by sending below details on or sending SMS on 5616181 as “Claims”

2. Reporting the theft
For theft claims, you need to report the incident to an appropriate police authority within 6 hours of discovery

3. Reporting the damage
For loss or damage claims, you need to report the incident to an appropriate authority within 6 hours of discovery and obtain an official report (and specifically for claims arising against or on common carriers and in hotels)

4. Documentation
You shall complete and return the following documents:

• Duly filled and signed Claim Form
• Police Report
• Incident Report (Description of items lost and details of loss)
• Vouchers in support of replaced luggage
• Vouchers in support of reasonable additional travel and accommodation expenses incurred, necessary to obtain replacement of lost/stolen passport while abroad.
• Any other requirement maybe stated by claim examiner

5. Returning the claims form
The claims form and accompanying documents must be returned to us within 3 days of making the original claim.
