Here’s what’s covered under this plan:
• Personal items
Get coverage against loss, theft or accidental damage caused to your personal luggage, personal effects and personal papers.
• Monetary loss
The plan offers coverage against loss or theft of your money and cheque(s).
• Additional losses
You can get coverage against expenses incurred for additional travel and accommodation, which are necessary, in case you are in process of getting a replacement of your lost or stolen passport while travelling abroad.
Here are some of the exclusions under the plan:
Damages caused to third party and any of their liabilities
No additional losses or damages incurred will be covered, other than the money you withdrew from your account.
Damages and/or liabilities that happened before or after the covered robbery period
The plan will not cover the charges for emergency first aid for any person who is not covered under the plan

Here are the terms and conditions of the plan:
The coverage of your trip under this plan begins when you leave your place of residence to commence the trip and shall terminate with whichever of the following occurs first:
a) Time taken to return to your place of residence on completion of your trip; or
b) Expiry of policy
In any event, the coverage will not begin 24 hours prior to the booked departure time and will cease to exist only after 24 hours from the actual time of your return.
With respect to a one-way trip, the coverage will terminate with whichever of the following occurs first:
a) Time taken to arrive at the destination; or
b) Expiry of the policy
Items left in an unattended motor vehicle
The luggage, money, and personal papers left in an unattended motor vehicle (fitted with an alarm) will be covered, if the items are in the car trunk at the time of theft.
Reimbursement for covered itemm
The reimbursement amount is limited to the maximum sum insured under as replacement cost of the covered item.

Send an Email/SMS
You can also register the claim by sending below details at firstname.lastname@example.org or sending SMS on 5616181 as ‘Claims’.
For theft claims, you need to report the incident to an appropriate police authority within 6 hours of discovery.
For loss or damage claims, you need to report the incident to an appropriate authority within 6 hours of discovery and get an official report (and specifically for claims arising against or on common carriers and in hotels)
Here are the documents required for processing the claim:
• Duly filled and signed claim form
• Police report
• Incident report (description of items lost and details of loss)
• Vouchers in support of replaced luggage
• Vouchers in support of reasonable additional travel and accommodation expenses incurred, necessary for getting a replacement of lost/stolen passport while abroad.
• Any other document requirement stated by claim examiner

The claim form and accompanying documents must be returned to us within 3 days of making the original claim.
