These are life threatening diseases the treatment of which is extremely costly. Every year India has thousands of patients of vector borne diseases and without an insurance cover the stress and burden of treatment may go high.

Therefore, Bajaj Finance has formulated its FlexiCare Group Insurance Policy Mediclaim-Infections Vector Bone Diseases Cover from Manipal Cigna Health Insurance, which provides an insurance cover for in patient Hospitalization costs and pre/ post hospitalization for the treatment of vector borne diseases. The sum insured can go up to Rs. 1 Lakh.

    Hospitalization Expenses

    Under the insurance cover, the sum insured will be paid for pre/post hospitalization, in-patient hospitalization in case the insured individual an ailment which is detailed as a triggered event. Costs for vector borne disease hospitalization treatment and pre/post hospitalization cost for 5 to 10 days will be paid by the insurer.

    Costs incurred up to Rs. 1 Lakh are covered under the policy. However, it is necessary that the diagnosis must be confirmed by an appropriate doctor.

    Diagnostics test

    Expenses incurred in the diagnostic tests prior (as per the specified period of pre-hospitalization) or post hospitalization.

    Doctor’s Fees

    Payment of the medical practitioner’s fees before, while and after hospitalization.

    Expenses towards purchase of medicines related to hospitalization.

    Note : The cover will only be provided for the following vector borne diseases: Dengue Fever, Malaria, Chinkungunya, Encephalitis and Kala-Azar.
