  • Buy holiday insurance via Bajaj Finserv for just Rs.699 per year

  • Block lost bank cards easily by calling a toll-free number

  • Request roadside assistance in case of a car accident or breakdown

When you’re on holiday, the last thing you want is the stress of calling your debit or credit card company in the event of a lost wallet. Being stranded abroad without access to money is sure to be a dampener on a family vacation, and a car breakdown can turn a fun road-trip into a gruelling one. Accidents can happen, but they shouldn’t cloud your holiday spirit. So, make sure that the next time you travel, your holiday is insured. Here are the advantages of a travel safe insurance policy.

Policy coverage and benefits

CPP’s Travel Safe Holiday policy, available through Bajaj Finserv, is holiday insurance that you can purchase. It is an all-inclusive safety net that provides protection against loss, theft, car breakdowns, accidental damage and more. Financial assistance includes Rs.50,000 if you’re in India or Rs.1,00,000 if you’re travelling abroad, and any cash advance is interest-free if repaid within 28 days.

What’s more, you can avail of complimentary insurance coverage of up to Rs.3,00,000 for hospitalisation expenses, bounced hotel bookings and more. In addition to financial assistance, the plan also allows you to cancel all debit and credit cards with a single phone call, avail roadside assistance in case of a car breakdown, as well as 5l of fuel (or 2l, in the case of a two-wheeler). The insurance representative will also coordinate with local taxi services to provide you with alternate transport if the breakdown happens more than 50km from your place of residence. In addition, you can enjoy free PAN card replacement if yours is misplaced or stolen.

Exclusions to holiday insurance coverage

It is important to remember that the policy will not cover loss of items in case you are intoxicated when they are lost. Moreover, your policy will also not cover the cost of vehicle damage if it is caused because of a traffic violation.

Applying for holiday insurance

To apply for the policy, you will need your KYC documents—Aadhaar or PAN card, or any other government-issued identification—as well as a CPP Travel Safe membership letter. You can apply for membership when you make any purchase from Bajaj Financial Limited, and pay the fee in advance. The cost of a Travel Safe Membership for a single person for one year is just Rs.699.

How to make an insurance claim

To claim your benefits, it is essential that you provide proof of your emergency. This could include hospital charges in case of an accident, a filed police report in case of a theft or burglary, or an official report detailing a traffic accident or damage to your vehicle, etc. In case you lose your wallet, it is essential that you call 1800-419-4000 within 24 hours to report any debit or credit cards that are no longer in your possession.

With so many benefits that are up for grabs, it only makes sense that you step out of the door with holiday insurance in tow. It will offer complete peace of mind and you can be assured that you will have a good time too.
