Google Pixel 4 XL full specifications

General features

As per a recent Google Pixel 4 XL review and expert sources, this device will run on Android OS 10. This version of the operating system hasn’t been released yet and will be launched alongside the Pixel 4 XL. Further, the smartphone will support wireless charging and stand out among its competition by being one of the first devices to use eSIM technology.

It comes with a fingerprint and face unlock sensor and has followed in the footsteps of the iPhone by ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is likely to have only 64GB internal memory, which you will not be able to expand further. As for the design, it is fairly slim at just 8.2mm in thickness and has a screen to body ratio of 81.72% that offers an immersive viewing experience. The OLED display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass that is water and dust resistant.

Software and hardware

The Google Pixel 4 XL is rumoured to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor that is complemented by the Adreno 640 GPU. These two modules work in unison to provide the ultimate experience, be it with work-related tasks or gaming. Additionally, with the 6GB RAM module you can multitask with ease and enjoy a lag-free experience. Another piece of hardware worth noticing is the 6.3-inch OLED display. It can output beautiful visuals via a pixel density of 534ppi at a resolution of 1440x3040 pixels. This device also has a beefy 3700mAh battery pack that supports quick charging. Once charged, the power can last for a 1 day of heavy usage.

Camera technology

The Google Pixel 4 XL camera technology will be at par with the current market trends. It is likely to flaunt a triple rear camera and dual front camera setup allowing for incredibly crisp photographs, no matter the setting. The rear 16MP, 12MP and 5MP cameras have a wide angle sensor along with a depth sensor that is supported by optical image stabilisation for swift action captures. As for the front camera, it has an 8MP and 5MP sensor working together to help you capture the best lit and visually appealing selfies and portraits.

Miscellaneous features

The additional features to take a note of includes a USB Type-C port for external connectivity and standard connectivity options like NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. This device also has dual 4G SIM enabled; however, note that the second SIM is an eSIM.

Google Pixel 4 XL rumours and updates

The latest rumour surrounding the Google Pixel 4 XL features surfaced around mid-August 2019. This piece of information was regarding the rear panel and overall design of the phone. The rumour had its base on leaked images of the smartphone, which showed the phone having a coloured power button and square rear camera housing. Another rumour from earlier in the month suggests that the Pixel 4 XL will have a 90Hz display that is at par with that of the OnePlus 7 Pro. This new string of information also mentioned that the display is ready to support gesture controls. This was then confirmed by Google, which officially admitted that Google Pixel 4 XL will be the first device in the series to have the Soli motion-sensing chip, which will make gesture controls a cakewalk on the device.
However, do note that all these are rumours and the final device launched in October may house all, some or none of these features.
