Our ESG Choices that Create Change

Sustainability is embedded in the businesses of Bajaj Finserv, built on the belief that those who inherit the earth deserve to inherit it greener. As the Bajaj Group completes a centenary, these are foundational roots that will build our future.

Our Commitment to Carbon Neutrality by 2032

Backed by a clear, consultant-developed roadmap, Bajaj Finserv is targeting carbon neutrality across Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2032. Bajaj Finserv is already a net producer of renewable energy, generating more clean power than its entire operations consume.

Powered by Wind

At Satara and Supa in Maharashtra, 138 wind turbines stand as the most visible symbol of our commitment to sustainability. With 65.2 MW of installed capacity, they generated about 90.4 million units of clean electricity in FY2026, exceeding Bajaj Finserv's total operational power consumption, making Bajaj Finserv Group a net generator of renewable energy.

Cleaner Kitchens. Healthier Lives.

In rural Maharashtra, the most meaningful climate action happens at the hearth. Bajaj Finserv has distributed 22,500 cleaner cooking alternatives through its Improved Cookstove (ICS) Programme, replacing traditional three-stone high-emission traditional stoves that fill kitchens with smoke and impact the health of families. The programme targets 67,500 beneficiaries over three years, cutting emissions, generating carbon credits, and delivering real health and economic benefits to families.

Doing More with Less

Across its operations and customers' homes, Bajaj Finserv is making every unit of energy count. Bajaj Finance disbursed over ₹4,000 crore to finance over 13.5 lakh five-star and above energy-efficient appliances in FY2026, reducing household energy consumption at scale. Internally, energy intensity improved to 47.62 per crore of revenue (from 50.29), driven by a phased LED rollout, retrofit emission-control devices on diesel generators, ozone-friendly refrigerants and 757 KW of rooftop solar generating 3.77 lakh units of clean power.

Roots for a Sustainable Future

Over 8 lakh saplings planted across India. 720 crore sheets of paper have been avoided over three years – the equivalent of preserving roughly 8.6 lakh trees. Ecological restoration and local climate resilience is a key aspect of our sustainability strategy. It is woven into how we operate, procure and grow.
