Corporate Social Responsibility
A Legacy of Transforming Lives
Jamnalal Bajaj put social responsibility into practice long before the term existed and decades before it became law.
Across generations, the Bajaj Group has carried forward the belief that business exists not apart from society, but in its service.
At Bajaj Finserv, the principles of Jamnalal Bajaj continue to inspire us. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts are directed towards those most in need, with programmes designed for lasting impact.

Youth Skilling
Self-implemented Skillserv
Skillserv, our flagship skilling initiative, prepares youth for careers in the financial services sector. Co-created with Bajaj Finserv's business teams, the programme combines industry-relevant curriculum, practical skills, and workplace exposure. Recognised as an Awarding and Assessing Body by National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), Skillserv stands among a select group of high-quality, industry-led skill development programmes.
College-based: Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance & Insurance
This is a widely implemented flagship programme that builds foundation and teaches students about the fundamentals of BFSI. A 120-hour module is designed to equip youth with the knowledge and skills that make them industry-ready. Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) participants are mostly first-generation graduates, primarily young aspirants from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Insurance Marketing Professional Academy (IMPA)
The initiative trains individuals seeking new income opportunities by providing comprehensive knowledge of general insurance through a 3-day intensive programme. Individuals above 18 years of age who have completed the 10th grade can enroll, even without any prior background.

The projects are implemented in collaboration with multiple non-profit organisations to offer a comprehensive range of training and skilling programmes aimed at employment, enterprise development, entrepreneurship and fellowship. The initiative encompasses vocational training, job readiness, healthcare skill development, skilling for Persons with Disabilities, incubation support, as well as scholarship and fellowship programmes.
Skilling Models for Income Generation
It focuses on providing specific and diverse training and skilling programmes across varied models to help bridge the employment gap and help the participants generate a steady income.
Self-employment and Entrepreneurship Development
It focuses on strengthening the local economy by incubating micro-enterprises and supporting individual entrepreneurs. It is done through ecosystem strengthening, direct enterprise support, incubation programme, need-based entrepreneurship and returnable grants.
Bandhan Konnagar: Enabling Sustainable Livelihoods for Vulnerable Women
Financial instability, loss of family income and limited livelihood opportunities often leave women in rural communities struggling to achieve economic security and independence.
To address this, Bandhan Konnagar, in partnership with Bajaj Finserv, supports vulnerable women through entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, and livelihood assistance under the Targeting Hardcore Programme. Through this initiative, 5,000 women have been empowered to build sustainable livelihoods and improve their financial stability.
Swati's journey reflects the transformative impact of this initiative. After losing her husband, she was left as the sole provider for her two children, including one with a disability. With no stable source of income, she worked as a daily wage labourer, often struggling to provide even basic necessities for her family. Through the Targeting Hardcore Programme, she received entrepreneurship training, financial literacy support, and startup assistance to establish her own grocery business. Today, she earns a steady monthly income, saves regularly, and has gained the confidence and independence to build a more secure future for her family.
Healthcare Skilling
In the healthcare domain, BFS supports strengthening the medical ecosystem by enhancing the capacity of frontline professionals. Through targeted skilling initiatives and specialised fellowships, the Company builds a robust workforce of nurses, paramedics, and technical staff equipped to deliver high-quality clinical and preventive care.
Skill Development for Persons with Disabilities
BFS facilitates the holistic development of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), including those with intellectual and developmental challenges by shifting focus from basic skilling to meaningful workforce participation. As an ecosystem enabler, BFS promotes fostering of inclusive employment, entrepreneurship, and advanced career progression. It enhances vocational skills through training tailored to individual needs, specifically targeting pre-vocation, access to employment, the service industry, enterprise, and advanced career progression.
Chhanv Foundation: Skill Development for Acid Attack Survivors
Acid attack survivors in India often face social stigma, limited livelihood opportunities and barriers to reintegration.
To address this, Chhanv Foundation, in partnership with Bajaj Finserv, enables survivors through skill development, livelihood support, and leadership-building initiatives. Through this intervention, 40 survivors have been supported to rebuild confidence, access dignified employment, and reintegrate into society.
Roopa's journey reflects this impact. A part of the movement since its early days, she has grown into a strong leader and advocate. As a host on The Sheroes TV and Associate Manager at Sheroes Café, Delhi, she amplifies survivor voices while mentoring others. Her growth is further strengthened by a hospitality certification from the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, and recognition for ‘Spirit of Hospitality'. Her story highlights how the right support can restore dignity and create pathways for inclusive growth.
Artisan Skilling
BFS supports ecosystem-level collaboration through tie-ups with like-minded CSR partners, impact firms, enablers, finance players, and monitoring and evaluation organisations to design solution-oriented programmes. This involves exploring a layered approach to business development, including piloting in-depth programmes with existing partners to strengthen enterprise growth. Furthermore, the focus on educational integration through structured 1- to 2-year programmes in design development and business management, specifically developed to build the next generation of craft leadership among artisans.
Kadam India: Enabling Livelihoods through Skill Development
Limited access to skill development and livelihood opportunities often restricts women in rural areas from contributing to household income and achieving financial independence.
To address this, Kadam India, in partnership with Bajaj Finserv, provides training in sustainable craft, design development, and market-oriented skills. Through this initiative, 400 women have been empowered to build livelihoods and improve their economic stability.
Sifa Layla Molla's journey reflects this impact. A homemaker from West Bengal, she had limited exposure to income-generating opportunities. Through the training, she learned to create water hyacinth products, enhancing her skills, confidence and creativity. Today, she contributes to her household income while continuing to grow her craft. Her journey highlights how skill-based interventions can enable women to become self-reliant and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.

BFS supports and strengthens foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), vocational education, mental health, digital and tech-based education, school-led health interventions and scholarships.
4,210,000 children benefitted from digital and technology-based learning; 2,030,200 through foundational literacy and numeracy; 3,000 through early childhood education; 382,350 through school-related health support; 5,453 through scholarship assistance. WOSCA: Model School 5S Program (Sampoorna Shala)
In partnership with WOSCA and supported by BFS, this initiative is transforming six government-aided schools in Pune into model institutions, benefitting 2,400 children annually. The programme follows the 5S framework—Sundar (improved child-friendly infrastructure), Surakshit (safe and secure school environments), Safal (quality learning through remedial education and enhanced facilities), Saksham (strengthened school governance), and Shala (community-led efforts to improve enrolment and retention).
By creating a collaborative and inclusive learning ecosystem, the initiative offers a scalable model that can be replicated across the district to strengthen educational outcomes and advance the goals of the Right to Education Act.
Child Health
BFS is committed to improving long-term resilience and health outcomes for children under 18 affected by Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Moving beyond isolated treatment, the 'whole-of-child' approach integrates early diagnosis, community-based screening, and infrastructure enhancement to create a sustainable support system for the most vulnerable. By acting as an ecosystem enabler, the Company collaborates with strategic partners to strengthen hospital capacity and frontline networks, ensuring specialised care is both high-quality and accessible. The focus is on Cleft Care, Type 1 Diabetes, Paediatric Healthcare, Paediatric Cancer and Epilepsy.
On the health front, 39,176 children were supported through health interventions. The cumulative cleft care programme has benefitted 22,120 children. The Company supports interventions for Type 1 Diabetes benefitting 2,750 children. The recently inaugurated Sweetlings Centre of Excellence at Jehangir Hospital has transformed a once-weekly Type 1 Diabetes clinic into a six-day-a-week, multidisciplinary facility with a 24-hour helpline and school outreach, benefitting 700 children.
The Company's paediatric cardiac care programme has reached close to 1,740 children, while 5,446 children were supported for cancer and epilepsy care. Close to 5,905 children were supported through community, treatment support and healthcare infrastructure support.
HCJMRI: Enabling Comprehensive Care for Children with Type 1 Diabetes
Conditions like Type 1 diabetes can significantly impact a child's growth, confidence, and ability to lead an active life, especially for families with limited resources.
To address this, HCJMRI, in partnership with Bajaj Finserv, provides free medical support, regular checkups, and continuous guidance to children, ensuring better health outcomes and quality of life. Through this initiative, 700 children have been supported to manage their conditions and lead active, fulfilling lives.

Diagnosed with diabetes at the age of two, he faced early health challenges but with consistent medical support and care, regained confidence and strength. Today, he actively participates in sports and excels in academics and extracurricular activities, earning multiple recognitions. His journey highlights how timely healthcare support and encouragement can empower children to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Child Protection
BFS's child protection strategy adopts an Integrated Community Approach to shield vulnerable children from trafficking, abuse, and labour. The Company combines system strengthening with a communities model to drive behavioural change. BFS utilises both Model Child Care Institutions for institutional safety and prioritised Non-Institutional Care to provide tailored rehabilitation. This holistic framework now extends to Children in Conflict with the Law, ensuring they access the development opportunities necessary to become productive citizens.
Child protection receives close to 56,138 beneficiaries: 2,271 across institutional care; 3,305 across rescue and rehabilitation; 9,365 across community programmes; and 2,144 across aftercare and transition; while awareness programmes on child sexual abuse covering 29,874 individuals.
