What are the Steps to Apply for EC Through Dharani Portal?

Encumbrance certificates are issued for a specific requested time only. When applying for an encumbrance certificate online, there are two variants of EC available for download. These include:

  • Form 15: This encumbrance certificate is issued if the concerned property has previous encumbrances in the time specified on your application form
  • Form 16:A nil encumbrance certificate is issued when no charges are placed on an asset during a specified time

The application process for EC using the Telangana Bhoomi portal is as follows:

  1. Log in to the Bhoomi portal using your login details
  2. Here, locate the Application form of Encumbrance Certificate option and click on it
  3. Download and fill up Form 22; attach it to proforma stating property details, such as the full address including all measurements and boundaries to identify nearby properties
  4. Attach documents required along with your form
  5. Submit your application to the nearest Tehsildar or sub-registrar office and collect the acknowledgement slip
  6. Following a physical inspection, officials will tally the index for any previous deeds issued for the requested period
  7. Once the formalities are complete, receive the EC in 6 to 30 working days

To view the encumbrance certificate from the Dharani Telangana website, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Encumbrance details section of the Dharani portal
  2. From their respective drop-down menus, select District, Mandal, Village/City/Town, and Sub-division number
