The CPP Shield plan offers you complete protection from such events with benefits like one-call card loss reporting, credit health reports, emergency travel and hotel assistance, and internet security.

  • 'One call' card assists

    No matter where you are, you can report the loss of all your debit or credit cards with a single call to the 24-hour helpline at 1800-419-4000.

  • Complete online security

    You can avail F-Secure Internet Security, a powerful antivirus that protects laptops against malware and hackers. It enables secure net banking through its banking protection feature. It also comes with an additional parental control feature to create a safe surfing environment for children.

  • Emergency travel and hotel assistance

    Get an emergency advance to pay your hotel bills or arrange your travel tickets up to Rs. 40,000 abroad and Rs. 20,000 in India.

  • Credit health report

    This feature allows the insured to get a credit assessment done once every month during their membership period. This feature offers the user a report in a specified format provided by CreditMantri, containing a detailed analysis of the current credit score. The CHR will help the insured understand and interpret the credit score issued by Credit Information Companies like Equifax, etc.

  • Other benefits

    The Shield plan offers you complimentary benefits like valuable document registration, mobile phone SIM blocking, and IMEI service to help you in emergencies.

  • Complimentary fraud protection including mobile wallet protection*

    This policy offers fraud protection for your cards (up to 30 days before loss report) against frauds such as PIN-based, online, phishing, tele-phishing, and transactions where OTP is not required (if the card is lost or stolen) for up to Rs. 50,000. The mobile wallets of the policyholder are also protected against frauds for up to Rs. 50,000 under the policy if there is a simultaneous physical loss of the device.The policyholder will be enrolled in the complimentary fraud protection benefit within seven days of the membership start date. An Indian General Insurance Company provides the fraud protection cover registered with IRDAI under the group insurance policy for CPP members. How to Purchase the Policy

In order to purchase the policy, follow these steps:

  • To apply for the product, click on 'Apply Now' and fill in the necessary details
  • Make the fee payment online using your preferred mode of payment
  • Fill in your name and mobile number
  • Complete the process by clicking 'Buy Now', you can also request a call back

How to Process the Claim

In order to process the claim, follow these steps:

  • The Card Protection Plan offers instant card blocking facilities. The member can report a loss 24X7 from anywhere in the world by dialing the helpline number (1800-419-4000) or call 6000-4000 (city STD code to be prefixed)
  • Once a call is made to report damage, fraud, or loss, all your cards will be blocked at once
  • Along with carrying out your credit and ATM card block, a member can ask to replace their lost PAN card
  • The member will get a claim form which has to be filled up and returned with the below documents:

a) Subrogation bond
b) Bank account or credit card statement
c) Copy of FIR

Major Policy Exclusions

  • Any loss or damage arising out of card transactions occurring outside the period of thirty days before card loss report to the card issuer
  • Any loss or damage due to card transactions that occurred after the loss or theft of the card that has been reported to the card issuer
  • Losses sustained by the cardholders resulting from any fraudulent acts regarding the card, with intent to defraud the card issuer or the company
  • Losses sustained by the cardholders through forgery or alteration of any written instrument required in conjunction with any card
  • The amounts are refunded upon cancellation of purchases of products or services by the cardholders
  • A loss incurred due to gross negligence on the part of the cardholder
  • Any loss or unauthorized use occurring at a POS (Point of Sale) terminal which is not secured with technology infrastructure, i.e., Unique Key Per Terminal (UKPT), and a Derived Unique Key Per Transaction (DUKPT), Terminal Line Encryption (TLE) as per Reserve Bank of India’s guidelines for which the card issuer is liable
  • Any loss in respect of credit and debit cards used internationally which is not EMV chip and pin enabled and for which the card issuer is liable
  • A loss incurred due to erroneous debits arising on fraudulent or other transactions, where neither the card issuer nor the cardholder is at fault, but the fault lies in the system and for which the card issuer will be liable
