CPP FoneSafe Lite provides unique benefits and offers you more than protection for your device. The features include single number assistance, F-Secure Safe device security, ZEE5 subscription. CPP Fonesafe Lite Plan provides complimentary screen damage protection (up to two incidents).

    CPP FoneSafe Lite comes with a 12-month Live TV subscription provided by ZEE. Watch TV shows, originals, movies, music and news and much more.

    Just call CPP's customer care at 1860-258-3030 (Monday - Sunday, 11 am to 9 pm) for assistance related to your CPP FoneSafe Lite benefits.

  • Complimentary protection against accidental or liquid damage

    This plan ensures that the member’s smartphone is protected against loss or accidental damage up to the purchase price. This cover includes liquid damage as well. The protection starts from your date of purchase of a smartphone or tablet and is valid for 12 months.
    *You will be enrolled on the complimentary equipment damage protection benefit within seven days from your membership start date. An Indian General Insurance Company provides all-risk cover registered with IRDAI under the group insurance policy for CPP members. Please refer to group policy terms and conditions for more details.

*Note: The coverage offered cannot exceed the total invoice value of the smartphone. A maximum of 2 claims shall be addressed, during the membership period; subject to a maximum value of coverage at the time of loss and the prior claim is a partial loss. This coverage is offered through a registered General Issuer of India.

How to Purchase the policy

  • To apply for the product, click on ‘Apply Now’ and fill in the necessary details in the application form.
  • Make the fee payment online using your preferred mode of payment
  • Fill in your name and mobile number
  • If required opt for a call back from our representatives or complete the process by clicking ‘Buy now’.

Deductibles

Based on the cost of the handset, a standard deductible must be borne by the member for each claim unless specifically revised and altered by the issuer and mentioned in the Certificate of Protection. The details of the deductibles charged are mentioned in the table below:

Note: Deductible is applicable only for repair cases (no depreciation is applicable for repair cases) Depreciation is applicable only for total loss cases (no deductible is applicable for total loss cases)

How to process the claim

In an event of device damage, you can log in with your registered Membership No. / Mobile No. on the following portal to file a claim for the same.

Steps to file a claim through the above link:

  1. Enter your No. / Registered mobile No., click on Get OTP. Login using your registered mobile no. and the OTP received.
  2. To create a new claim against a device displayed, click on Create claim on. Enter incident date, details & click on Create Claim.
  3. You will receive a Service Request Number (SRN) via email and SMS
  4. Visit a brand-authorized service centre and get the device repaired. After visiting the authorized service centre, log in to the above portal to submit documents*
  5. Click on Claim Filing & Status. Click on Fill Form against your SRN/Membership No.
  6. Fill in the form details & upload the repair, Bill. Click on Next. Fill in the details & upload the Original Invoice and a Cancelled cheque copy. Click on Submit.
  7. Download documents and fill the Insurer Claim form | NEFT or Bank Mandate form | Statement Incident Form
  8. Click on the Print address and paste the printout (with the barcode) onto the envelope containing the physical documents. Send to: CPP Assistance Services Pvt. Ltd., CPP Claims Cell, D-139, Okhla Industrial Area, Phase 1, New Delhi - 110020

Note: *If the device cannot be repaired after visiting the authorized service centre, please provide the estimate provided by the service centre.

Major Policy Exclusions

  • Loss or damage of part which is part of manufacturer guarantee and warranty.

  • Loss or damage arising out of the appliance not being used by following the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Replacement of any consumable item of the appliance, including but not limited to batteries, bulbs, plugs, cables, ribbons, belts, tapes, fuses, software etc.

  • Failure of parts that are subject to recall by the manufacturer of the appliance.

  • Loss or damage arising out of any external cause, including but not limited to fire, theft, explosion, water damage, acts of God etc.

  • Where the appliance is subject to commercial, rental or profit generation purposes.

  • Loss or damage arising out of overloading, strain, over-running, short-circuiting etc.

  • Loss or damage arising out of normal wear and tear.

  • Where there is a change of ownership of the appliance
