  • What’s covered?

  • Hospitalization expenses

    The plan covers medical expenses of up to Rs 3 lakh incurred on the treatment of cardiomyopathy, including those incurred during pre and posthospitalisation. However, the diagnosis needs clinical confirmation by an appropriate specialist doctor.

  • Diagnostic tests

    Coverage for diagnostic tests before (within the specified pre-hospitalisation period) or during the hospitalisation period.

  • Treatment charges

    Coverage for hospital room rent, ICU expenses, transfusions, doctor fees, medicines and tests.

  • Doctor’s fees

    Doctor’s fees before, during and after hospitalisation are covered under the plan.

  • Medication

  • Ambulance expenses

    The plan covers ambulance expenses of up to Rs. 2,000.

What’s not covered?

  • Hospitalisation for any reason other than cardiomyopathy
  • Any pre-existing disease
  • Hospitalisation within the first 90 days of the policy’s start date
  • Cardiomyopathy directly related to alcohol or drug abuse
