The plan covers your car’s brand logo against the risks of burglary and theft. You will receive a compensation up to the invoice value of the new logo or the sum insured, whichever is lower.
From new cars to cars which are up to 5 years old and have the Registration Certificate (RC) will be covered under this plan.
This plan will be valid for a period of one year from the date of its purchase. In case your car’s brand logo gets stolen or destroyed during this period, you will be able to file a claim and get a reimbursement for the expenses incurred.
Here are some of the exclusions under the plan:
You need to have a valid RC of your car to avail of the benefits under this plan. If your car is not registered, then it will not be covered.
In case your car is more than five years old from the original date of its purchase, it will be excluded from the plan coverage.
Used or second-hand cars are not covered under this plan. Additionally, imported or modified cars are also excluded from the coverage.
In case of theft, you’ll have to file an FIR at a local police station and provide it at the time of filing the claim. If you’re unable to furnish the FIR copy, your claim will not be approved.
Any loss or damage to your car’s logo due to reckless or inappropriate driving will not be covered, unless specified in the plan schedule.
Any losses or damages arising out of regular wear and tear of your car do not come under the coverage.
For every claim raised, you will be required to pay an excess amount, i.e. the first 10% of the claim amount towards your insurance claim.
