As a kid I was captivated by the legendary 'Mountain Goat' Maruti Suzuki Gypsy, so the Jimny stayed on my radar from launch. That dream came true in December 2024, and since then it has been with the nomad in me who believes 'The best way to see a place is through the windscreen of an automobile'. It has joined me on many road trips, holidays and expeditions, exploring the beautiful North East of our country. This is a global Suzuki product with Japanese engineering evident in its technical finesse. Plus, the Maruti Suzuki service network, even in distant places, is a big advantage for travellers like us. Overall I'm completely satisfied. The kid who adored the Gypsy is now living the Gypsy life with the Jimny. As they say, 'Life is too short to drive boring cars...!!!'

Ride comfort is excellent. The gears feel a bit notchy. Off-road performance is as good as it gets. On the highway you need to keep a close eye on the steering, almost like babysitting it, and performance there is nearly average because pickup and cruising aren't like a monocoque-based car.

The Suzuki Jimny is a fantastic compact SUV with tough styling and outstanding off-road ability. Its 4x4 performance impresses, so it's ideal for adventures, mountain drives and rough routes. Though small, it feels sturdy and dependable. It's fun to drive, and the boxy shape draws attention everywhere. A solid option for anyone who loves adventure and wants a stylish, trustworthy vehicle.
