  • Hospitalisation Expenses

    Offered by Bajaj Finserv under Pocket Insurance & Subscriptions, Blindness Cover offers coverage against hospitalisation expenses towards the disease. Coverage includes expenses on in-patient care, pre-hospitalisation expenses (for up to 30 days), and post hospitalisation expenses (for up to 60 days). The policy comes into effect only after confirmed diagnosis by a speacialist doctor.

  • Treatment Charges

    Treatment charges include hospital room rent, ICU, transfusion, doctor fees, medicines and tests.

  • Doctor’s Fees

    Doctor’s fees before, during and after hospitalization are covered under the plan.

  • Medication

    Expenses towards purchase of medicines related to hospitalization.

  • Ambulance expenses

    The plan covers ambulance expenses up to an amount of Rs. 2,000.

What’s Not Covered?

  • Hospitalization resulting due to reason other than blindness.
  • Any Pre-existing disease.
  • Treatment for Low vision: ‘low vision’ is defined as visual acuity of less than 6/18 but equal to or better than 3/60, or a corresponding visual field loss to less than 20°, in the better eye with the best possible correction.
  • Cases of blindness with low vision before the inception of policy.
  • Cost of enucleation related to tumor’s or other eye defects.
  • Cost of prosthesis for cosmetic correction.
  • Visual aids implantable or external.
