  • Customised plans for varied needs

    The policy offers a wide-range of travel plans for every travel need; from individual plans like travel care, travel secure, travel value, travel Asia to a family plan like travel family and even a senior citizen plan like travel age. Special plans are also available for corporates and students.

  • Personal accident

    Travellers can get personal accident coverage, which will be 50% of the maximum sum assured in case of the insured’s demise (age below 18 years). It also covers the medical expenses and repatriation including medical evacuation to a hospital in India i.e. pre-approved by the claim administrator.

  • Cashless services

    This policy offers the insured direct settlement for in-hospital medical expenses abroad, subject to the policy terms and conditions.

  • Emergency advance cash benefit

    This is an assistance service that provides emergency cash advance during incidents such as theft or burglary of luggage or money or hold-ups. The insurer coordinates with the insured person's relatives in India to provide emergency cash assistance to the insured as per his requirement, including the delivery charges.

  • Loss of checked baggage

    This policy covers the loss of checked baggage. The maximum cost cover per baggage will be 50%, and per item in the baggage will be 10%.

  • Golfer’s hole-in-one

    A unique sporting gesture offered in this policy covers expenses incurred on celebrating a hole-in-one. This is valid worldwide (except India), at any golf course recognised by the United States Golfer’s Association.

How To Process A Claim

Here are a few steps to process your claim:

For cashless travel insurance claim


• Send in the minimal documents required, and the insurer will verify them against the policy

• The insurer will send a payment letter guarantee to the healthcare provider within two working days

• The insurer will send a query letter to the insured and the healthcare provider asking for some more information wherever needed

• On receiving the information requested, the insurer will release the payment letter guarantee after due diligence within three working days

For travel insurance reimbursement claim


• Collect and submit all hospitalisation related documents

• Customary verification of all required documents will be carried out by the insurer

• Intimation of any deficiency of information will be sent to the insured with enough time to provide further information

• Upon receiving the requisite documents and further scrutiny, the general insurance claims settlement process will be initiated, and the payment will be released via NEFT in an Indian bank account within ten working days

• In case the insured fails to provide the pending paperwork, three reminders will be sent, each 15 days apart, from the date of intimation

• In case the pending documents are not shared within three reminders (45 days) from the date of intimation, the claim will be closed, and an intimation will be sent to the insured

• If the general insurance claim doesn’t fall within the policy’s purview, the claim is denied, an intimation will be sent along with a letter stating the same.

Cashless overseas hospitalisation

• Visit any of the nearest healthcare providers for urgent treatment or rehabilitation. In case the bills exceed USD 500 (Rs. 37,466), you can apply for the cashless facility

• In case the bill is less than USD 500 (Rs. 37,466), you can file a reimbursement claim

• Intimation for the claim needs to be made by your colleague or co-traveller within 48 hours by either writing an email at travel@bajajallianz.co.in or calling on +91-20-30305858 (chargeable)

Major Policy Exclusions

Here are some of the exclusions under the policy:

  • Medical condition or complication arising from a pre-existing condition from before the commencement of the policy period
  • Routine physical or other examination where there is no objective indication of impairment of normal health
  • Suicide, attempted suicide or wilfully self-inflicted injury or illness, mental disorder, anxiety, stress, depression, nervousness having no underlying physical condition as a cause; venereal disease, alcoholism, drunkenness, or the abuse of drugs
  • Manual work or hazardous occupation, self-exposure to needless peril (except to save human life), or if engaging in any criminal or illegal act
  • Pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, abortion, or complication arising out of any of the preceding
  • Delay of baggage when the intended destination is in India
  • Loss or damage to the insured's passport as a result of the confiscation or detention by customs, police, or any other authority
  • Loss which is not reported to the appropriate police authority within 24 hours of the discovery of the loss, and an official report has not been obtained
  • Loss caused by the insured's failure to take reasonable steps to guard against passport loss
