  • Money-in-bank

    Accidental Hospitalisation Cover

    If during the Policy Year, the Insured Person suffers an Injury due to an Accident, caused by an event/ peril specified while traveling via, flight, bus, train, rented cab, rented bike, ship/cruise and directly results in the Hospitalisation of the Insured Person, the insured will be paid reasonable and Customary Charges for the following Medical Expenses.

  • Money-in-bank

    Accidental Pre-Hospitalization

    The insured will be paid Pre-hospitalisation Medical Expenses of an Insured Person which are incurred immediately prior to the Insured Person’s date of Hospitalisation or Day Care Treatment (if opted) up to the limits as specified in the Policy Schedule/ Certificate of Insurance, provided that a claim is admissible under ‘Accidental Hospitalisation Cover’ and the Pre-hospitalisation Medical Expenses are related to the same Injury.

  • Money-in-bank

    Accidental Post Hospitalization

    The insured will be paid Post-hospitalization Medical Expenses of an Insured Person which are incurred immediately post discharge of the Insured Person from the Hospital or Day Care Treatment (if opted) up to the limits as specified in the Policy Schedule/ Certificate of Insurance, provided that a claim is admissible under ‘Hospitalization Cover’ and the Post-hospitalization Medical Expenses are related to the same Injury.

    Diagnostics tests

    The cost of conducting diagnostics tests before (within the specified pre-hospitalization period) or during the hospitalization period is covered under the plan.

    Doctor’s Fees

    Coverage for doctor’s fee can be availed before, during and after hospitalization.

    Expenses on medication

    Expenses towards purchase of medicines related to hospitalization are covered under the plan.

    Treatment charges include hospital room rent, ICU, transfusion, doctor fees, medicines and tests.

What's not covered?

1) Investigation & Evaluation
2) Dental Treatment, orthodontic treatment, dentures or Surgery of any kind unless necessitated due to an Accident and requiring minimum 48 hours Hospitalisation.
3) Dietary supplements and substances that can be purchased without prescription, unless prescribed by a Medical Practitioner as part of hospitalisation claim.
4) Rest Cure, rehabilitation and respite care - Expenses related to any admission primarily for enforced bed rest and not for receiving treatment
5) Unproven Treatments
6) Treatment for, Alcoholism, drug or substance abuse or any addictive condition and consequences thereof.
7) Breach of law
8) Treatments received in heath hydro’s, nature cure clinics, spas or similar establishments or private beds registered as a nursing home attached to such establishments or where admission is arranged wholly or partly for domestic reasons
9) Prostheses, corrective devices and and/or Medical Appliances, which are not required intra-operatively for the Illness/ Injury
10) Expenses for cosmetic or plastic surgery or any treatment to change appearance unless for reconstruction following an Accident
11) Treatment received outside India
12) Any form of Alternative Treatment
